The Charity

The Hoeffer Cup is pleased to raise money for great charities including SKJAJA, Victory Junction and Make a Wish NC. All are local to North Carolina and focus on helping kids experience life improving activities. All proceeds from our raffle and putting contest go towards funding these two organizations. Over the years we have donated over $9,000.

SKJAJA Fund: The SKJAJA fund was created in September 2008 by Eric and Charlotte White to not only provide funding for children who might not be able to afford such activities, but also to teach an important lesson about citizenship. Each child who receives funding is asked to “pay it forward,” or do a good deed for someone else without expecting anything in return.

The SKJAJA Fund is an all-volunteer organization that depends on the support of the community. Because of the generosity of many individuals and businesses it was able to begin fulfilling its mission in 2009. The following businesses have been instrumental in helping the SKJAJA Fund achieve their goals.

hdr-logoVictory Junction: Victory Junction enriches the lives of children with serious illnesses by providing life-changing camping experiences that are exciting, fun and empowering, at no cost to children or their families.

Since opening our gates in 2004, our year-round programs not only challenge campers to find resilience by looking beyond their illness, but provide a safe place to try new things under unobtrusive, complete 24-hour medical supervision. Our state-of-the-art facilities are intentionally designed to be accessible and inclusive for all campers affected by one of the many diagnoses served at camp.

Every 34 minutes Make-A-Wish® grants the wish of a child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition in the United States and its territories. We believe that a wish experience can be a game-changer. This one belief guides us in everything we do. It inspires us to grant wishes that change the lives of the kids we serve.
